Synonymous with New Balance since way back when, Grey represents the brand’s relentless drive to boldly explore the infinite possibilities of the vast unknown. On May 1 we celebrate our annual Grey Day at openground, a multi-purpose art and design select shop where cultures intersect, in a district where the new and old collide.

On May 1 we celebrate our annual Grey Day at openground, a multi-purpose art and design select shop where cultures intersect, in a district where the new and old collide. Creatives from different fields will take you on an immersive journey into Grey with music, videos, eye-popping visuals, light and shadow installations, sound art, animation, DJ Liveset, flash cards drawing as well as complimentary limited edition coffee drinks and limited Cassette Boxsets. Not only can visitors learn about New Balance’s “Worn By Anyone” spirit via the senses, it’s also an unmissable chance for sneakerheads to catch a sneak peek at the 574 and 57/40 Grey Day Limited Edition!

The very first track Sonic Grey of Grey Day is the sonic representation of grey color that is composed as part of the multimedia installation created by Dimension Plus in the Grey Day Exhibition. Hello World is inspired by the same computer programming code that embarks a new development in technology that is followed by Progress – a typical Alexmalism’s rendition of minimalism music and compositional technique through repetition and phasing. The penultimate track Little Fun interprets electro in a lighthearted manner. Last but not least, Keith Lam’s remix of Sonic Grey (Morgan’s Grey remix) is inspired by Edwin Morgan’s poetry of the same title – Grey.
